Year 13 Drama students have worked incredibly hard in the lead up to their Practical exams which took place in School this week, the culmination of rehearsals, preparation and incredible collaboration. Year 12’s Esme reports on her experience from the audience.
Year 12’s Esme
This week I watched a brilliant performance of Alice in Wonderland, inspired by the methodologies of Kneehigh Theatre Company and performed by the amazing Year 13 A level Drama students. This performance was in promenade, which meant the actors and the audience travelled through many exciting and eye-catching spaces, my personal favourite part being the Caterpillar and the Mad Hatter’s tea party, which took me straight back to my childhood.
The performance brought so much joy, was incredibly fun and created such an inclusive feel, particularly when the audience were asked to sit at the table with the Mad Hatter and his friends, for the tea party! Having the opportunity to watch and support the Year 13s, especially with a limited audience capacity, was incredible, and I am so grateful. It also fills me with inspiration for my Year 13 scripted performance next year! I would strongly encourage everyone to come along and watch the examination work created by Woodbridge students, because it is always interesting and inspiring, and a great night out.
