Last Friday the U13 Rugby team took on touring side Boundary Oak in their final fixture of an exciting season of rugby.
Woodbridge came out of the blocks quickly with Digby opening the scoring soon after kicking off. Some excellent handling from the boys soon saw them progress their lead with Digby quickly scoring a hattrick of tries in the first half.
Boundary however did not let this affect them and through some excellent play off a scrum managed to score against a solid Woodbridge defence. With a key focus on handling Woodbridge continued to show their dominance by playing the ball through the hands to Jacob on the wing, who with excellent pace and footwork scored a try of his own. The visitors however didn’t make it easy for Woodbridge with a period of play towards the end of the first half which put Woodbridge under a lot of pressure in defence; eventually scoring another try of their own.
The second half looked a lot like the first with Woodbridge scoring soon after the whistle. Woodbridge the more dominant side in the second half managed to score another handful of tries before the final whistle. Seth, Noah, Frank, and Oscar also got their names on the score sheet.
Well done on an excellent term of Rugby and I look forward to seeing how they progress into next year.
