Last Friday three students travelled to Ipswich High to compete in the Regional Final of the East of England British Shooting Championships.
The competition entailed shooting 20 qualification shots, which were divided between four targets; the top eight competitors taking part in a knock-out final.
Year 6’s Tati, Year 7’s Jasmine and Year 8’s Grace competed in the Junior class as individuals and in the team competition. With a huge entry of 42 competitors in that class, individually Jasmine finished 23rd, Tati finished 13th and Grace finished equal 2nd place before sadly dropping down to 5th in the knock-out final.
Overall, the Woodbridge Junior team came 2nd out of nine teams taking part in the Junior class, narrowly missing qualification for the National Championships.
It was a very competitive class, but the girls shot incredibly well, well done to all of them!
