Woodbridge School Supports and Participates in Woodbridge 10K

23 May 24

Congratulations to all of the staff, students, parents, OWs, family and friends took part in Sunday’s Woodbridge 10K – the 42nd time the annual event has taken part having raised over £100,000 for local charities over the years.

Woodbridge School played a major part in the hosting of the annual event, with both the 10K and Junior Race starting just outside of our School gate. Woodbridge School vests shone in the sunshine, as our top juniors did battle for age group honours in the 1.5K race.

Many of our students, staff and parents will have competed for clubs, sponsors or just as unattached, for that reason we have not been able to list everyone, but we do of course congratulate every finisher and we sincerely hope they enjoyed the day as much as we did.

In the main 10K, looking just at the top 40, special mention must be made of Year 12’s Bruce who finished 16th place in 38:11 for second in his age group, as well as Year 10’s Jasper who finished in 33rd place, and staff members Mr Le Fanu (our Head of Maths) in 32nd place and our Director of Finance Mr Stafford who finished in 34th.

In the Junior Race Woodbridge School athletes were ever-present on the age group podiums. In fact, in some age groups Woodbridge School athletes won all three medals!
