A ‘Twinkly Nativity’ at Woodbridge School Prep

9 Dec 24

The sight of soft lighting, brightly coloured costumes, happy faces full of smiles and an audience captivated from start to finish – this year’s Woodbridge School Prep Nativity was nothing short of special.

The Twinkly Nativity told the traditional story of Mary and Joseph and of course, the birth of baby Jesus. As children gathered on stage, supporting and enjoying one another’s performances, we watched as seven stars, Twinkly, Flashy, Sparkly, Glitzy, Dazzle, Shine and Ellie D, guided our actors and audience through the classic story beautifully. It was a wonderful reminder of all the reasons we celebrate Christmas and just an absolute delight to watch.

Travelling for the census on their trusty and faithful donkey, Mary and Joseph transported our audience to Bethlehem. Delighting the audience with some very special and superbly performed numbers, sung with brilliant confidence and joy, we watched the journey of our Travellers, Shepherds and their Sheep, along with the Wise Men, Camels, Angels, Cleaners, Workmen and of course, the eighth star in the production – the MEGA star!

The stage came alive as our young actors concluded the story with an invitation for all to a party in Bethlehem, to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Our children, teachers, staff and audience were transported to a place of joy, fun and laughter, a wonderful way for everyone to get into the Christmas spirit. Twinkle, twinkle, follow that star!
