Sports Fun and Awards for Year 7 and 8
Last Friday, all of Year 7 and 8 took part in a fun afternoon of cricket in mixed teams; with seven pitches of students playing, all trying to score as many runs as possible.
Treated to slushies and ice lollies provided by our amazing catering team, students were then presented with awards, including Player of the Season, Most Improved, Full and Half Colours in rugby, football, hockey, cross country, netball, tennis, equestrian, cricket and athletics.
It was a great end to another really successful year of sport for our Year 7 and 8s, with cross country and equestrian team success, athletes competing nationally, athletic teams competing in regional finals, the U12A football team reaching the quarter finals in the National Cup and the Year 7 athletics teams winning the South Suffolk competition just last week.
Congratulations to all our Year 7 and 8 students; thank you for a wonderful year of sport, we can’t wait to see what you can do next year!
