On Wednesday 21 March, over 30 Spanish Intensive pupils attended the Europa Centre in Romford for a few hours of Spanish role playing in a Spanish town.
The pupils were led through the fake Spanish town in small groups by Spanish-speakers. They then went about day-to-day activities, including: bookings to Cuba for a two week all-inclusive holiday; return train tickets to Paris; purchases of lots of fruit, vegetables and meat from various shops and complained about medical problems ailing them. This was all done in Spanish.
The whole group put in lots of effort and tried hard to participate. Ella Walker, Pedro (Mauricio) Corfe, Charlie Turner, Mak Zie, Noah Prescott and Tom Harper were even named as the best group they had ever had at that age by one of the Spanish teachers!
It was a super ‘warm-up’ for our Spanish Intensive study trip to Salamanca in June and thank you to the children for making the day so enjoyable.
Bien Hecho !
