Last week our Prep School celebrated Harvest Festival, as we do every year, with the collection of a variety of food donated by staff, students and their families. The fantastic collection of items contributed were destined for donation to The Salvation Army and St Elizabeth’s Hospice, on behalf of the School.
The Salvation Army is a worldwide Christian church which supports families and individuals in a number of ways, including the donation of food parcels to those in need. St Elizabeth’s Hospice provides specialist support for people living with progressive and life-limiting illnesses, and also relies on the generosity of donations to provide for those needing their support and services. The students thoroughly enjoyed learning about and taking part in the Harvest Festival celebrations, understanding the importance they play in helping to support others in their local community through kindness. The generosity of all who donated has enabled the School to support two charities in our local community.
