Children from Years 3 and 4 at Woodridge School Prep put on a great performance for family and friends last week, with their stone age rock musical, Rock Bottom.
Dressed top to toe in bright, colourful and sensational costumes, they each took their turn to together tell the story of the Cobblestones, an ordinary Stone Age family of cave folk, living on Stoney Street, Rock Bottom during prehistorical times.

With dark secrets discovered, mysterious monsters and a volatile volcano, children showcased their talent, confidence, skills and independence for all to see and enjoy. With ripples of laughter from the audience and song and dance from the children, it was a real delight to see the children enjoying themselves so much on stage.

Many thanks to everyone who helped put the show together, our teachers and staff at Woodbridge School Prep, especially Mrs Duehring and Mrs Petts who managed our cast of young actors, rehearsals and any (though not many!) last minute nerves! Thank you also to everyone who came along to see the musical, the children thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to perform and entertain, and it’s such an important part of their personal development in terms of confidence, self-belief and development of a multitude of life skills.

Despite connotations of hitting the lowest point possible or facing extreme hardship, Rock Bottom was the complete opposite! Well done Year 3 and 4.
