The Senior Physics Olympiad competition took place in School last week – with superb results achieved by our students. Mr Cooper, Head of Physics reports below:

The Senior Physics Challenge for Year 12 students is an exciting opportunity for students to stretch their problem solving skills and apply fundamental physical principles to novel situations.
This year it included forming an equation students could use to calculate how many molecules of water in a mug were previously drunk by Julius Caesar when he was alive.
Internationally over 6,000 students take part in the competition each year, so our students have performed extremely well to achieve this standard, with five Silver awards and three Bronzes.
