Netball Roundup – Feb/March 2023

3 Mar 23

It has been a busy couple of weeks of fixtures for our netball teams, with matches against Ipswich High, Finborough, Rushmere and Northgate schools.

Woodbridge U14 & U15 team matches
Both the U14A and U15A teams had very convincing wins in their league matches against Ipswich High last week, with the U15As following this with another winning performance against a very physical Finborough side. The U14B team had a decent amount of possession in their match against Ipswich High which they were unfortunately unable to capitalise on, however all the girls worked incredibly hard and made plenty of valuable interceptions.

Woodbridge U16 & Seniors team matches
Our U16A team won their league match against Ipswich High, while the 1st and U16B teams played with determination but were unable to convert their chances.
Two of our senior teams had a very successful afternoon at Rushmere against Ipswich Schools 2nd and 3rd teams this week and came away with two wins.

Woodbridge U13 & U12 team matches
The U13A and B teams enjoyed league wins against Northgate last week, providing a good opportunity to prepare for their much anticipated fixtures against Ipswich School this week. Overall, this block fixture produced four wins for the U13A, U13B, U12B and U12C teams, whilst the U13D had an exciting 6-6 draw. The U12A and D teams fought hard in their close losses. It was a wonderful afternoon of netball with fantastic parental support and every girl in Year 7 and 8 participating in a match. The staff were super proud of the girls.
