Our Junior and Senior LAMDA Showcases took place in School this week and last, much to the delight of friends and family who came along to watch and support everyone.
Showcasing students’ exam performances, in the style of a night at the Oscars, the evenings were hosted superbly for the sixth year by Year 12’s James and Year 13’s Ollie who compared the evenings as the ‘Jolly Twins’; sadly the last time for Ollie as he leaves School this year.
Our Junior Showcase saw brilliant scenes from Little Miss Muffet performed by Year 8’s Freya to a dramatic performance from The Light Turns Blue by Year 8’s Ella and Lottie.
Our Senior Showcase was entitled ‘The Stoplight Awards’ and featured various scenes, including Shakespeare performed by Year 9’s Maxim, and Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest performed by Year 10’s Sam and Edward. Year 9’s Romilly and Francesca chose Split Down The Middle for their performance, and the powerful Colour of Justice, which is based on the Stephen Lawrence story performed by Year 13’s Paul.
Well done to everyone, and we hope those that attended in the audience had a great evening too.
