Reports by Saffron Holliday
The match started slowly, with neither team doing particularly well. However as the match progressed the teams got further into the game and the play began to get more confident and exciting. Woodbridge was doing well to keep the ball down their scoring end and was having multiple shots. RHS also had a couple of break through where they would move towards their own scoring goal, but our defenders did well to pressure their shots and send the ball back to the other end. Towards the end of the first half Sophie Graham had an excellent shot at the goal and the ball went straight past the goalie and into the corner. The second half was full of great play and close-calls but no goals were made by either team, and the game ended a close 1-0 to Woodbridge. Annabel Yates was given player of the match for her excellent defence and decision making to come forward towards our attacking end. Also, praise must be given to the RHS goalie for her phenomenal saves, only letting one goal in from many. Well done to all who played.
