The final Head’s Commendations of the calendar year were celebrated this week, recognising students who have demonstrated our values, their own commitment, hard work and dedication in some way.
Celebrating with tea and cake on Tuesday, Year 9’s Georgia, Sukie, Sophie and Romilly were commended for being part of the Woodbridge School team in the GCHQ competition recently, Year 13’s James recognised for his superb conduct as a Junior House Prefect and Year 8’s Seth for completing his qualification of ‘An Introduction to BSL’.
Year 12’s Ella joined Miss Norman in recognition for making a superb promotional video about the School, and Year 7’s George received his for starring in the EACH performance with his brother at the Regent. Well done everyone.
Thursday was our second Head’s Commendations of the week, another chance for students to meet with Miss Norman for tea and cake. Year 13’s Hannah was recognised for helping a younger student who needed help after an accident, Year 7’s Diego and Year 8’s Lottie for their hard work and commitment during Inktober.
In recognition of their hard work and effort with a bake sale raising money for The British Red Cross, Year 7’s Elise, Pip and Isabella enjoyed eating cake rather than baking and selling it, which was lovely.
And finally, Year 10’s Alexander joined Miss Norman celebrating his composition being played at the Royal College of Music with Music by Anne Denholm, who was the Official Harpist to the King when he was Prince Charles.
Well done everyone. It’s wonderful to recognise positivity, hard work, kindness and commitment in this way.
