This was a nail biting game and we started off brilliantly reacting to the Umpire’s whistle and had some early chances. However, it was RHS who took the lead from a short corner and we were behind. The rest of the first half could have gone either way but they scored another goal from a short corner about 5 minutes before half time. We wanted to focus on staying wide, chasing the ball and actually turning up for the game in the second half.
The appearance of the Headmaster encouraged the girls and we scored from Maddy Craig’s stick as a result of a short corner, game on! It was then all Woodbridge, great pressure from our mid field of Mia King, Mollie Biddle and Chloe Outen and there were some great passes between Flora Johnston, Maddy Craig and Maddie Felton. Mollie Bioddle converted a short corner which had resulted from some clever play by Mia King and we were drawing……. The final 10 minutes were so important but we kept the pressure on RHS and were awarded another short which Mollie and Flora were able to convert. FANTASTIC, AMAZING and very well done. Thank you to the Headmaster and all the parents who came to watch.
