There was cause for celebration amongst the Equestrian team this week, with riders qualifying for Championships at Keysoe, due to take place in October.
Forest Edge, Sunday 13 February
Sunday 13 February saw the Woodbridge team back at Forest Edge, Norfolk, aiming to qualify for the Keysoe Championships and Plate Show Jumping competitions.
Woodbridge’s team comprised of Year 7’s Harry, Zac and Edie, who began with the 70-75cm jumping competition coming in 4th and qualifying for the Keysoe Plate competition. Zac came 4th individually, qualifying for the Championships
In the 80-85cm team, Year 7’s Harry and Zac, alongside Year 9’s Oscar and Year 10’s Phia, rode some brilliant rounds to come 2nd, qualifying for the Keysoe Championships together with Oscar who won the class as an individual.
Year 9’s Oscar and Lois joined Year 10’s Phia and Year 11’s Issy in the 90-95cm class, doing very well coming in 3rd place, qualifying for the Keysoe Plate, with Oscar also taking 3rd individually qualifying for the Championships.
The 1.00-1.05m team which included Year 9’s Lois alongside Year 11’s Ada and Issy, finished in 5th place also qualifying them for the Keysoe Plate. Ada finished the day with the 1.10m class, jumping a super clear round to finish in 6th place.
A really great day for Woodbridge Equestrian team, everyone either qualified for the Championships or Plate competitions due to take place in October. Well done everyone!
Brook Farm, Sunday 27 February
Year 7’s Edie and Harry, both rode as individuals at Brook Farm on Sunday 27 February, aiming to qualify in the Eventers Challenge for the Keysoe Championships in October 2022. It was a big field, but they both completely took it in their stride qualifying in absolute style.
Edie won the 70cm, Oscar the 90cm.
Brilliant riding from both of them, huge well done!
