Our Drama department and Head of Design Mrs Cracknell had a specific brief for Year 10’s Laura, Lexi, Milly and Selena ahead of this year’s Shakespeare on the Lawn production. Once received, the four Design students set about conceiving, creating and designing the artwork and merchandise to sell for this year’s Shakespeare on the Lawn, The Two Gentlemen of Verona.
The brief included outlining the storyline of the play, pointing out some key features and scenes, examples of existing theatre merchandise which the design students are also producing, and an overview of any initial visual ideas for the production.
Laura, Lexi, Milly and Selena have worked incredibly hard to create not only an A4 print, but designs and for a ceramic coaster, ceramic fridge magnet and an 11oz mug with each product featuring a unique design.
All of these items have been manufactured in-house using a sublimation printer and heat press and will be available to order on the evening of the performances. Money made from the sale of these items intends to cover material usage, with all profits will be donated to EACH charity.
The Two Gentlemen of Verona will be performed on Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 July, tickets now available from www.woodbridgeschool.org.uk/events/the-two-gentlemen-of-verona/.
