The CCF Alamanza dinner took place in the Tuckwell Room this week, with 90 staff and cadets present. This was a big event, with many Y9 pupils in attendance. The toast to the Queen was given this year by Nathan Goddard, an honour bestowed by tradition on the youngest cadet, while our most senior Y11 cadet, Will Clarke, said Grace. This year’s Head of Army, W01 Callum Askins gave a speech touching on the Battle of Alamanza, and toasting the Royal Anglian Regiment. This year’s special guests were the Heads of the RAF and Navy Sections, Verity Jackson, Sgt. Head (the School’s advisor from Cadet Training Team), and Mrs Leckie from the School’s CCF partner Felixstowe Academy. A great time was had by all who attended.
