No fewer than 140 Years 7 and 8 went bowling at Tenpin Martlesham on Friday night, looking for a further house win following the cross country earlier in the afternoon. But the event was much more about socialising and making friends, and, thanks in large part to the generous discount offered by Tenpin, raising money for charity.
The evening featured some high scores (none better than Mr Davis’s 137 though! And indeed a special mention must go to him and Mrs Johnson joining in the fun on their day off, alongside Mrs Knowles, Miss Sanders, Mrs Rix, Mr Walsh, Miss Ross, Mr Manning, Mr Hillman and the five excellent prefects for organising such a good evening.
Willard won the inter house competition on a total of 3,264. Second and third place were closely contested with Annott scoring 3,099 and Burwell 3,051; and Seckford did well with a much smaller team to score 2,805. Elsewhere cheesy chips and cheesier grins were the order of the day – a great time had by all!
